Properties of Polyglykol 1500 FL:
The physical and chemical properties of polyethylene glycols are mainly determined by the two hydroxyl end groups, the ether groups as well as the molecular weight. 
Polyglykol 1500 FL is a yellowish wax-like solid at room temperature. 

Polyglykol 1500 FL is soluble in water and polar organic solvents like acetone or methanol. 
Polyglykol 1500 FL is insoluble in pure hydrocarbons. 

Polyglykol 1500 FL shows typical chemical reactions of alcohols/diols and a very low evaporation rate. 
The solidification point of Polyglykol 1500 FL is about 46 °C. 

Beside our standard quality Polyglykol 1500 FL with reduced amounts of residual alkali and water is available. 
We recommend Polyglykol 1500 FL PU especially for polyurethane synthesis.

Shipping and Storage of Polyglykol 1500 FL:
Polyglykol 1500 FL and Polyglykol 1500 FL PU can be supplied liquid in heated tank trucks. 
Polyglykol 1500 S and Polyglykol 1500 PS can be supplied in 20 kg sacks or in big packs.
When stored in a cold, dry place in a closed container Polyglykol 1500 can be kept for at least two years.

Stability and Reactivity of Polyglykol 1500 FL:

Reactivity:

First Aid Measures of Polyglykol 1500 FL:

General advice: 
Remove contaminated clothing and shoes.

If inhaled: 
Move the victim to fresh air.
Give oxygen or artificial respiration if needed.

Get immediate medical advice/ attention.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

In case of skin contact: 
Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
Cool skin rapidly with cold water after contact with molten material.

Wash thoroughly with soap and water for 15 minutes. 
If skin irritation occurs, seek medical attention.

In case of eye contact: 
Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes.
Get medical attention immediately if irritation develops and persists.

If swallowed: 
Immediately call a POISON CENTER/doctor.
