Polyglykol 8000 is a white waxy solid at room temperature.
Polyglykol 8000 FL can be supplied in heated tank trucks.
Polyglykol 8000 S is a flaked type.

Its two hydroxy end groups as well as its ether groups mainly control the physical and chemical properties of Polyglykol 8000.
Therefore Polyglykol 8000 is soluble in water and polar organic solvents like aceton or methanol.

Polyglykol 8000 displays typical chemical reactions of alcohols/diols.

Polyglykol 8000 PS is suitable as a readily water-soluble carrier for the moulding of detergent blocks.
Polyglykol 8000 is also an excellent binder for bath salts and denture cleaners when they are pressed into tablets.
