DESCRIPTION:

Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is a polymer with the general structure -(CH3(H)Si-O)-.
Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is used in organic chemistry as a mild and stable reducing agent easily transferring hydrides to metal centers and a number of other reducible functional groups.
These include the tetramer ((MeSiHO)4), copolymers of dimethylsiloxane and methylhydrosiloxane, and trimethylsilyl terminated materials.

DESCRIPTION:

Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is nontoxic and insipid.
As there are fair quantity of relatively active Si-H bonds inthemolecule, under the action of catalysts it can react with chemicals containing active groups, such as double bonds or hydroxyl groups.
Polymethylhydrogen siloxane can be converted into film and used to produce a resilient waterproof coating on various materials by using metal salt catalyst at low temperature.

Polymethylhydrogen siloxane equips itself with outstanding water repellent property which prevents damage due to moisture, as well as mildew and rust development.
Besides, Polymethylhydrogen siloxane's high vapor permeability allows the material to breathe and let water, vapor escape to the outside without causing damage.
Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is a high molecular weight organic synthesis with a general chemical structure.
Commercially available Polymethylhydrogen siloxanes are usually linear polysiloxane, but cyclic silanes forms can also be used.
Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is soluble in most aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon solvents, but insoluble in water and low alcohols.

Polymethylhydrogen siloxane can be used for hydrophobic treatment of plaster is recommended for use as a water repellent for mineral building materials such as clay products (facing bricks, roofing tiles, pots etc) aerated concrete, plasterboard and light fillers (perlite, vermiculite aerated concrete granules etc).
Polymethylhydrogen siloxane can also be used as a primer additive to water based and latex paints.

Polymethylhydrogen siloxane's high vapor permeability allows the material to breathe and let water, vapor escape to the outside without causing damage.
Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is used as waterproof additive in the production of gypsum board.
Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is used for dry-spayed substances (like extinguisher powders, various fillers) to make them free flowing and to reduce caking.
Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is used as the cross linker for addition type silicone rubber series.

Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is used for water repellent treatment of textiles.
Polymethylhydrogen siloxane can be applied as water repellant for various materials as fabric, glass, ceramic, paper sheet, leather, metal, cement, marble etc. especially for fabric water proof.
Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is a silicone oil used in biology and chemistry.

Polymethylhydrogen siloxane oil can be crosslinked at low temperature, forming a hydrophobic effect on the surface of various substrates, large contact angle, durable waterproof membrane, widely used in textile, paper, leather and construction industries.
The treatment of fabrics with Polymethylhydrogen siloxane can not only improve the tear strength, wear resistance, wrinkle resistance and antifouling properties, but also greatly improve the hot resistance and sewing properties, and can not lose the original permeability and achieve the purpose of complete waterproof.
In addition, Polymethylhydrogen siloxane has better anti-adhesive properties than the dimethyl silicone oil, so Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is widely used as a release agent in the rubber and plastic industry, and a release agent for paper and packaging materials.

For example, the rubber factory with Polymethylhydrogen siloxane for automobile tire mold release, can be used continuously for 1~2 weeks.
The optical glass coated with Polymethylhydrogen siloxane not only has excellent light transmittance, but also has excellent anti-mildew and moisture resistance.
Polymethylhydrogen siloxane may also be used as a metal rust inhibitor.
Using Polymethylhydrogen siloxane fluid latex together with Methyl hydrogen silicone fluid may resist water and remain Air’s permeability of the fabric and enhance plitting tensile strength, friction strength and antifouling property and improve the feel and stitching property of the fabric, Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is also can be applied in antiadhesion isolating agent and crosslinking agent for paper manufacture.

Polymethylhydrosiloxane is a polymer.
Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is used in organic chemistry as a mild and stable reducing agent easily transferring hydrides to metal centers.
Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is a widely used reducing agent which is easily handled, non-toxic, mild and stable.
Although relatively inert to organic functional groups, Polymethylhydrogen siloxane can transfer its hydrides to various metal catalysts and many other reducible functional groups, which can then participate in extensive reduction.

Polymethylhydrogen siloxane can also be used in combination with nucleophilic activators as the reducing agents.
Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is a colorless free-flowing liquid, can be used as waterproofing agents for materials such as fabric, glass, ceramic, paper, leather, metal, cement, marble, etc., especially for fabric.
Under the reaction of metal catalysts, Polymethylhydrogen siloxane can be cross-linked into a waterproof film on the surface of various materials at a low temperature. Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is usually used as a cross-linking agent, and the active Si-H makes it also used as an antioxidant.

This material is prepared by the hydrolysis of monomethyldichlorosilane:

n MeSiHCl2 + n H2O → (MeSiHO)n + 2n HCl

Polymethylhydrogen siloxane exhibits no reducing properties.
Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is then used instead of monomethyldichlorosilane.

Illustrative of its use, Polymethylhydrogen siloxane is used for in situ conversion of tributyltin oxide to tributyltin hydride:

2"(MeSiH)" + (Bu3Sn)2O → "Me2Si2O" + 2 Bu3SnH
