POLYOX WSR 205 is a water-soluble product designed to reduce drag, imparts smooth, lubricious after-feel and leaves hair & skin silky. 
POLYOX WSR 205 improves tactile properties of water phase and overall aesthetics. 

POLYOX WSR 205 is compatible with a wide range of surfactants. 
Polyox WSR-205 finds application in formulating shaving products, body washes, liquid hand soaps, bar soaps and styling gels.
POLYOX WSR 205 is a non-ionic poly(ethylene oxide) polymer typically used as a thickener, emollient, and film former in adhesive, personal care, and packaging applications.
POLYOX WSR 205 NF is a low molecular weight, water soluble, pharmaceutical grade poly(ethylene oxide) polymer. 
POLYOX WSR 205 is also unique in that they are thermoplastic polymers that can be calendared, extruded, injection-molded or cast.

POLYOX WSR 205 can then be used to make packaging that is completely water-soluble and useful for packing pre-measured doses of hazardous chemicals like pesticides. 
When incorporated into creams, lotions, soaps, and shampoos POLYOX WSR 205 provides a soft feel and smooth application while also increasing aqueous thickening. 
Additionally, solutions of POLYOX WSR 205 have outstanding wet tack but will dry to leave a non-tacky residue. 
This makes POLYOX WSR 205 an ideal resin for tail-tie adhesives for toilet paper and paper towels.

POLYOX WSR 205 is often used as a binder and thickener.
POLYOX WSR 205 is a non-ionic, water-soluble poly(ethylene oxide) polymer with a molecular weight of 600,000. 
POLYOX WSR 205 can be used a film former, a thickener, or an emollient. 
POLYOX WSR 205 can be cast into a water-soluble film. 

POLYOX Water Soluble Resins are a range of low to high molecular weight non-ionic poly (ethylene oxide) polymers that add richness and improved feel to shampoo formulations. 
They improve the density and appearance of the foam without affecting its height and detergent properties of the composition. 
These polymers also provide excellent glide and reduce foam distribution resistance. 
Also polymers POLYOX are recommended in the formulation of shampoos and hair conditioners in order to improve the combability of wet hair due to their "lubrication", in styling products, bath foams, shower gels. 
Polyox WSR-205 is a water-soluble additive designed to increase the density and fullness of lather in shampoos, body washes and liquid soaps.

Precautions for safe handling: Avoid contact with eyes. Wash thoroughly after handling. 
No smoking, open flames or sources of ignition in handling and storage area. 
Good housekeeping and controlling of dusts are necessary for safe handling of product. 
Electrically bond and ground all containers, personnel and equipment before transfer or use of material. 
Keep away from heat, sparks and flame.

WHAT ARE POLYOX™ WATER-SOLUBLE RESINS (WSR)?
POLYOX™ Water-Soluble Resins (WSR) are thermoplastic, non-ionic polymers with high molecular weight. 
They are obtained through the heterogeneous polymerization of ethylene oxide (CH2CH2O)n, which in turn creates poly(ethylene oxide) or PEO.

Uses of POLYOX WSR 205:
polyethylene glycol (PEG) is a binder, solvent, plasticizing agent, and softener widely used for cosmetic cream bases and pharmaceutical ointments. 
Pegs are quite humectant up to a molecular weight of 500. 
Beyond this weight, their water uptake diminishes.
Polyethylene Glycol is a binder, coating agent, dispersing agent, flavoring adjuvant, and plasticizing agent that is a clear, colorless, viscous, hygroscopic liquid resembling paraffin (white, waxy, or flakes), with a ph of 4.0–7.5 in 1:20 concentration. 
POLYOX WSR 205 is soluble in water (mw 1,000) and many organic solvents.

POLYOX polymers can be used as an alternative to HPMC in ER matrix tablets.
PEO formulations investigated in this study with metformin HCl produced tablets with low weight variation; high breaking force and low friability values at compression forces of 15 kN and 20 kN.
To produce a 12-hour release profile for the freely soluble drug metformin HCl, high viscosity grades of PEO should be used at approximately 30% w/w in the formulation. 

Similar drug release rates were obtained for WSR-301, WSR-303 and METHOCEL™ K100M CR ER tablets.
In order to guarantee a robust PEO matrix, at least 20% of polymer should be included in the formulation. 
POLYOX Water-Soluble resins are high molecular weight water soluble polymers. 
A long chain poly(ethylene oxide), POLYOX™ is available in a wide range of molecular weights making POLYOX WSR 205 an excellent choice for a formulator trying to tailor a specific end viscosity.

AN increase in the concentration of K2CO3 in Polyox WSR 205 causes a decrease in the drag reduction1; this has been successfully correlated with lowered values of the intrinsic viscosity. 
Nonionic, water-soluble polypeptides can interact with sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) to form complexes, and above a certain concentration the reduced viscosity of some of these polymers is increased. 
The immediate implication is that if such interactions also take place with polyethylene oxides of high molecular weight then changes in the observed drag reduction may occur.

POLYOX™ WSR are non-ionic, ultrahigh molecular weight poly (ethylene oxide) polymers.

Inhalation: No emergency medical treatment necessary.
Skin contact: Wash off with plenty of water.
Eye contact: Flush eyes thoroughly with water for several minutes. 
Remove contact lenses after the initial 1-2 minutes and continue flushing for several additional minutes. 
If effects occur, consult a physician, preferably an ophthalmologist.
Ingestion: If swallowed, seek medical attention. Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personel.
