POLYPHASE 689 is a broad-spectrum, water-based film preservative that is effective against a wide vaiety of damaging microorganisms. 
POLYPHASE 689 is particularly useful in water-based outdoor products in which Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are a major comcern. 
POLYPHASE 689 provides long-lasting protection against both algae & fungi. 
POLYPHASE 689 is particularly effective for application over cementitious substrates.


POLYPHASE 689 is dry-film preservative that provides protection against fungi and algal growth on surfaces.

Applications/Uses
Polyphase 689 offers excellent dry film fungal and algal protection in exterior paints, masonry coatings, stucco, and pigmented water-based wood protective stains. 
Polyphase 689 also provides excellent protection against mildew and algal growth on adhesives, caulks, sealants, and for other industrial applications.

Suggested use levels are based on laboratory and field evaluations and are typical for the applications indicated. 
Suggested use levels for the indicated applications should be verified by field trials. 
Suggested use levels are reported as a percentage of the end-use product as a ratio of the Biocide Weight to Weight of the final end-use product.

The actual level of Polyphase 689 required for antimicrobial protection is formulation specific. 
The individual components of the formulation, the PVC level, the substrate to be coated, and the environment in which the coating will be exposed all have an influence on the amount of protection needed.

Storage: Protect from freezing. 
If the product has excessively chilled, mix well or ideally propeller-agitate. 
If it has unexpectedly settled, mixed before use. 
Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal
Ideally stored between 5 – 25°C
