Paint and Decorative Coatings: Polyphase 7029 has been shown to provide excellent control of fungi as well as enhanced stability of the active substance in alkyd resin based coatings.
In hot, humid areas where the microorganisms are a particularly severe problem, the upper application levels are suggested.
If applied on wood, the product does not change the appearance of wood or have any influence on its coatability.

Wood Preservation: POLYPHASE 7029 offers broad‐spectrum protection against wood destroying fungi, mildew and blue stain when formulated in organic solvent based wood preservatives.
POLYPHASE 7029 is suggested for use on wood in above ground use only.
POLYPHASE 7029 is suggested for example for door and window frames, exterior siding, composite board, plywood and other construction lumber.
Wood treated with POLYPHASE 7029 does not change its appearance and may be painted when dry.
For wood rot protection, the upper use levels are suggested.
These formulations may be applied by dipping, spraying, or brushing.
Do not use POLYPHASE 7029 on wood surfaces which come into direct contact with food.
POLYPHASE 7029 has been shown to offer enhanced active substance stability in applications involving metal driers and certain metallic pigments.
The actual level of Polyphase 7029 required for antimicrobial protection is formulation specific.
The individual components of the formulation, the PVC level of a paint, the substrate to be coated, and the environment in which the material will be exposed all have an influence on the amount of protection needed.
