Uses
Polyplastol 15 is especially recommended for injection moulding during which very high temperatures are reached for a short time.
Polyplastol 15 performs best with NBR, SBR and EPDM even in complex moulds.
Polyplastol 15 is also useful with natural rubber cuts.
Polyplastol 15 is added during the mixing process in internal mixers and in mixing mills.
Recommended dosage is 2-3 phr but it may have to be increased depending on the process.
Polyplastol 15 is used:
- to avoid mould fouling problems due to processing aids
- to achieve complete mould filling
- to improve flow characteristics in the injection chamber
Polyplastol 15 acts as both internal lubricant during mixing and as superficial lubricant during moulding due to the different solubility depending on temperature.
