FIRST AID


Inhalation: Move the person exposed to PREFERENZ P 300 mist or aerosol into fresh air and prevent further exposure. Obtain medical attention if PREFERENZ P 300 causes coughing, wheezing, chest tightness, shortness of breath, nasal irritation, or other respiratory symptoms.

Skin Contact: Remove clothing contaminated with PREFERENZ P 300 and rinse the affected skin promptly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Wash the exposed area with soap and water and obtain medical advice if PREFERENZ P 300 causes persistent irritation or an allergic response.

Eye Contact: Rinse eyes exposed to PREFERENZ P 300 immediately with clean running water for at least 15 minutes while holding the eyelids open. Remove contact lenses when present and easy to remove, continue rinsing, and seek medical attention if irritation or visual discomfort persists.

Ingestion: Rinse the mouth after accidental ingestion of PREFERENZ P 300 and do not induce vomiting unless instructed by qualified medical personnel. Contact a physician or poison information center if a significant quantity of PREFERENZ P 300 is swallowed or symptoms develop.

Note to Physicians: Treat PREFERENZ P 300 exposure symptomatically and provide supportive care. Consider the potential for enzyme-related respiratory sensitization and provide the current supplier Safety Data Sheet to the treating medical professional.

HANDLING AND STORAGE


Handling: Handle PREFERENZ P 300 using closed transfer, automated dosing, or other contained processing methods wherever practical. Avoid creating PREFERENZ P 300 mist or aerosol during pumping, sampling, charging, mixing, filling, and equipment cleaning.

Ventilation: Provide effective general ventilation and local exhaust wherever PREFERENZ P 300 aerosols may be generated. Use suitable respiratory protection selected through an enzyme-specific workplace risk assessment when engineering controls cannot adequately control PREFERENZ P 300 exposure.

Storage: Store PREFERENZ P 300 in tightly closed original or supplier-approved containers under the conditions stated in the current Safety Data Sheet. Protect PREFERENZ P 300 from excessive heat, freezing, direct sunlight, microbial contamination, oxidizing agents, and unsuitable pH conditions.

Spill and Leak Procedures: Restrict access to areas affected by a PREFERENZ P 300 release and prevent the formation of airborne droplets during cleanup. Absorb PREFERENZ P 300 with suitable inert material, clean contaminated surfaces using a low-aerosol method, and transfer PREFERENZ P 300 waste into labeled containers for regulated disposal.

Handling Precautions: Wear suitable protective gloves, safety glasses or goggles, protective work clothing, and respiratory protection when required. Wash thoroughly after handling PREFERENZ P 300, keep contaminated work clothing within the workplace, and follow an occupational health program appropriate for repeated industrial enzyme exposure.
