DESCRIPTION:
PREVENTOL BIT 20 D is aqueous dispersion of 1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT).
PREVENTOL BIT 20 D is used for the preservation of aqueous coatings, polymer dispersions, plasters, synthetic adhesives or cleaners and detergents.
PREVENTOL BIT 20 D is a broad spectrum of activity covering bacteria, mould and yeasts.
PREVENTOL BIT 20 D has outstanding stability combined with low volatility.
PREVENTOL® BIT 20D is an effective preservative for many aqueous formulations. 
It is recommended that the compatibility and microbiological efficacy is checked for individual formulations. 
The concentration required to give protection depends on several factors. 
These include the susceptibility of the system to microbiological degradation, the micro-organisms load, the species involved, pH, temperature, and the time period for which protection is required.
Preventol BIT 20 D is formaldehyde- & halogen-free, in-can preservative based on benzisothiazolinone. 
Preventol BIT 20 D is used for the preservation of aqueous coatings. 
Preventol BIT 20 D is a water-based, solvent- and VOC-free dispersion, Preventol BIT 20 D is further supported by the approval of BIT up to a dosage of 200 ppm (=0.10%) according to German Blue Angel (RAL-UZ 102).

PREVENTOL BIT 20D is also intended to protect fresh animal hides or skins to preserve the integrity of the hides and skins before or during processing.
Add the appropriate quantity of PREVENTOL BIT 20D to the brine solution during the curing operation or treat hides or skins with an appropriately diluted aqueous solution during other portions of the processing operation. 
The specific use rate and contact time needed to control microbial attack will depend on the degree of decomposition of the hides or skins prior to treatment.
PREVENTOL BIT 20D can be used as a preservative in polymer products, e.g. flexible PVC, polyurethanes, silicones and polyether silicones, and protects goods such as vinyl flooring, gaskets, tarpaulins, pool and pond liners, PVC plastisol coated textiles etc., against the growth of mold and mildew organisms as well as staining bacteria. 
Required dose level of PREVENTOL BIT 20D based on the total weight of the final treated (plastic) product is in the range of 0.1%-1.0% and depends on the environment the treated article is used.

FIRST AID

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:
PROHIBITIONS: Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal. 
Open dumping is prohibited.
PESTICIDE STORAGE: Protect from frost. 
If frozen, allow to thaw and stir well before use.
PESTICIDE DISPOSAL: Pesticide wastes are acutely hazardous. 
Improper disposal of excess pesticide, spray mixture, or rinsate is a violation of Federal Law. 
If these wastes cannot be disposed of by use according to label instructions, contact your State Pesticide or Environmental Control Agency, or the Hazardous Waste representative at the nearest EPA Regional Office for guidance.
CONTAINER HANDLING: Triple rinse as follows: Empty the remaining contents into application equipment or mix tank and drain for 10 seconds after the flow begins to drip. 
Fill the container ¼ full with water. 
Replace and tighten closures.
Tip container on its side and roll it back and forth, ensuring at least one complete revolution for 30 seconds.
Stand the container on its end and tip it back and forth, several times. 
Turn the container over onto its other end and tip it back and forth. 
Turn the container over onto its other end and tip it back and forth several times. 
Empty the rinsate into application equipment or mix tank or store rinsate for later use or disposal. Repeat this procedure two more times.
