Propylene Glycol n-Propyl Ether is a fast-evaporating glycol ether with an excellent balance of hydrophilic and hydrophobic character along with outstanding soil removal and coupling properties.
Propylene Glycol n-Propyl Ether offers an excellent balance between hydrophilic and hydrophobic character; Propylene Glycol n-Propyl Ether is our most hydrophobic glycol ether that still maintains complete water solubility.
Propylene Glycol n-Propyl Ether is our P-series product that most closely matches the properties of Butyl glycol ether.
Propylene Glycol n-Propyl Ether primary use is in cleaning products, where Propylene Glycol n-Propyl Ether fast evaporation rate and excellent ability to solubilize organic soils makes it useful in a wide variety of formulation systems.
Propylene Glycol n-Propyl Ether is an excellent choice in glass cleaners and all-purpose cleaners, especially in combination with selected PM-series glycol ethers.

Applications

Coupling agent and solvent in household and industrial cleaners, grease and paint removers, metal cleaners, and hard surface cleaners.
Coupling cosolvent in water-reducible aerosol paint formulations..
Blends with other P-series glycol ethers for an effective coalescent in water borne latex coatings.

Glycol ethers and their acetates are used in a variety of industries and products.
Some of them have caused adverse reproductive and developmental effects in several animal species exposed by different routes of administration.
Among semiconductor manufacturing workers, exposure to ethylene glycol ethers was related to an increased risk of miscarriage, subfertility and prolonged menstrual cycles .
In a multicenter case–control study, maternal glycol ether exposure was associated with congenital malformations (Cordier et al., 1997).
The association appeared particularly strong in neural tube defects, multiple anomalies and cleft lip.

Propylene Glycol n-Propyl Ether is promary used in cleaning product due to the balance of hydrophilic and hydrophobic property.
Propylene Glycol n-Propyl Ether is used as a solvent and/or coupling agent for hard surface cleaners, water-reducible aerosol paint formulations amd grease and paint removers.
