PVC EMULSION RESINS
DESCRIPTION

PVC emulsion resins are the product of polymerization of vinyl chloride monomer in aqueous solution in the presence of a water-soluble initiator with the obligatory use of emulsifiers to prevent the process of coagulation of polymer particles. The average particle size of PVC emulsion resins varies from 0.1 to 1 micron.

Emulsion PVC resins belong to the class of paste-forming resins and are intended for the production of plastisols and organosols with the subsequent formation of a finished product.

The choice of resin is carried out, first of all, according to the Fickentcher constant and the viscosity index in the plasticizer. Evaluation of the quality of the resin cannot be carried out only by the viscosity of the resin, because under the viscosity of the resin is meant the dynamic viscosity in the plasticizer, depending on the type of plasticizer, its amount and recipe characteristics of the future product.

Application: PVC emulsion resins are widely used in the manufacture of various products from plastisols.

Since each formulation is different, resin selection should be made based on testing the intended PVC resin grade. The given recommendations for the use of PVC resins are general and require verification for each specific case.
