PVP/VA 64 is a copolymer of vinylpyrrolidone with vinyl acetate in an an easy-to-use aqueous solution. preserved with 0.05% max. dodecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride.
PVP/VA 64 is an excellent film-former and hair styling agent.
PVP/VA 64 is a white or slightly yellowish, free-flowing powder with a faint characteristic odor and practically no taste.
PVP/VA 64 readily dissolves in all hydrophilic solvents. Solutions of more than 10 % concentration can be prepared in water, ethanol, isopropanol, methylene chloride, glycerol and propylene glycol.
PVP/VA 64 is less soluble in ether, cyclic, aliphatic and alicyclic hydrocarbons.
PVP/VA 64 by aurorium acts as a hair fixative agent.
PVP/VA 64 is a non-ionic polymer, insoluble in water and provides very good humidity resistance.
