Rheovis PU 1190 is a solvent-free non-ionic rheology additive with high thickening properties at low shear stress.
Rheovis PU 1190 is an effective rheology additive designed to achieve higher pseudoplastic viscosity compared with other PUR thickeners. 
Furthermore, Rheovis PU 1190 shows excellent filmforming properties, good pigment wetting and a high UV stability.

Rheovis PU 1190 is a tin-free, strong low shear, non-associative thickener based on hydrophobic modified ethoxylated urethane (HEUR). 
Rheovis PU 1190 offers strong pseudoplasticity. 
Rheovis PU 1190 is recommended for low-VOC and water-based systems. 
Rheovis PU 1190 is used in high PVC paints, matte/interior, silk & semi-gloss, wood paints & stains, gloss paints as well as in plasters, exterior and elastic paints.

Application
Rheovis PU 1190 improves the stability of aqueous coatings providing similar performance to inorganic, cellulose or acrylic thickeners. 
In contrast to these thickeners, Rheovis PU 1190 has no negative influence on gloss or opacity and, due to its non-ionic character, also has an excellent resistance to water.
Rheovis PU 1190 provides the optimum performance in aqueous clear and high-gloss top coatings as well as anti-corrosive paints and thick-layer systems.

recommended concentrations: The typical dosage of Rheovis PU 1190 is 0.2 – 1.0% and is incorporated into the paint or the mill base during stirring.
