Rhodoline FT-100 is a unique VOC and APE-free liquid additive that is developed to help freeze-thaw resistance in waterborne coatings.
RHODOLINE FT 100 utilizes a “novel hydrophobe chemistry” that reduces latex particle-to-particle contact during the freezing process – steric stabilization leading to improved colloidal stability.

RHODOLINE FT 100 is typically added to the letdown stage of the formulation.
RHODOLINE FT 100 is preferred to add as close as possible to the addition of the binder and then mixed thoroughly.
RHODOLINE FT 100 can also be used in the grind stage of the formulation to replace the wetting agent.

For typical usage levels, it is recommended to start with a 1% addition based on the total formula weight.
It is possible to reduce/eliminate wetting agents and solvents such as glycols (intended to impart freeze-thaw).
