DESCRIPTION

Setaqua 6754 is an acrylic copolymer dispersion belonging to the waterborne acrylic resin category, and Setaqua 6754 is designed for coating systems where solvent reduction and high film performance are required.
Setaqua 6754 is self-crosslinking, which allows the coating film to develop improved hardness, blocking resistance, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, and scratch resistance during drying and film formation.
Setaqua 6754 is intended for industrial chemical-resistant air-dry or forced-dry coatings, and both pigmented and clear coatings can be formulated with Setaqua 6754.

Setaqua 6754 formulation performance depends on minimum film formation temperature, drying temperature, coalescent selection, substrate preparation, pigment volume concentration, and additive compatibility.
Setaqua 6754 has a relatively high MFFT of approximately 58°C, so coalescent or forced drying may be required to obtain proper film formation under cooler conditions.
Setaqua 6754 can provide good hardness, gloss, chemical resistance, and blocking resistance when properly formulated and dried.

Setaqua 6754 should be protected from freezing, overheating, contamination, and prolonged exposure to air because these factors can affect dispersion stability, pH, viscosity, and film performance.
Setaqua 6754 should be stored in tightly closed containers to prevent water evaporation, skin formation, microbial contamination, and changes in active content.
Setaqua 6754 should be used according to supplier recommendations, coating regulations, VOC requirements, workplace safety standards, and final application performance targets.

FIRST AID

Inhalation:
Move to fresh air if mist, aerosol, or vapors are inhaled.
Seek medical attention if coughing, headache, dizziness, respiratory irritation, or breathing discomfort occurs.
Avoid further exposure until ventilation and spray conditions are controlled.

Skin Contact:
Remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly with soap and water.
Seek medical advice if irritation, redness, or dryness develops or persists.
Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

Eye Contact:
Rinse cautiously with water for at least 15 minutes.
Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do, then continue rinsing.
Seek medical attention if irritation persists or if exposure is significant.

Ingestion:
Rinse mouth with water and do not induce vomiting.
Seek medical attention or contact a poison center if discomfort occurs.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Note to Physicians:
Treat symptomatically.
Monitor for irritation from aqueous acrylic dispersion and any coating additives present in the final formulation.
Provide supportive care as needed.

HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling:
Use appropriate PPE including chemical-resistant gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing.
Avoid breathing spray mist or aerosol during mixing, spraying, and coating application.
Use clean equipment to prevent contamination and maintain dispersion stability.

Ventilation:
Use general ventilation during normal handling.
Use local exhaust ventilation during spraying, mixing, and drying operations.
Use respiratory protection where spray mist exposure cannot be adequately controlled.

Storage:
Store in tightly closed containers in a cool, frost-free, well-ventilated area.
Protect from freezing, excessive heat, direct sunlight, evaporation, and microbial contamination.
Keep away from strong acids, strong bases, strong oxidizers, and incompatible reactive chemicals.

Spill and Leak Procedures:
Contain spill with inert absorbent and prevent entry into drains.
Collect into suitable containers for reuse or disposal according to local regulations and facility procedures.
Clean remaining residue with water before drying if allowed by facility procedure.

Handling Precautions:
Control film formation conditions because Setaqua 6754 has a high MFFT and may require suitable coalescent, warm drying, or forced drying for optimum film quality.
Control pH, storage temperature, and hygiene because Setaqua 6754 is an aqueous dispersion and can lose stability if exposed to freezing, contamination, or evaporation.
Rotate stock using FIFO practices to maintain consistent solids content, pH, viscosity, and coating performance.
