EC NUMBER: 265-150-3

DESCRIPTION OF SHELLSOL D60:

ShellSol D60 consists predominantly of C10-C12 paraffins and naphthenes.
Deep hydrogenation gives this solvent a very low aromatic content, negligible amount of reactive impurities and a low, sweet odor.
SHELLSOL D60 is a medium evaporation, high flash mineral spirit type hydrocarbon solvent.
The high degree of general refining gives this solvent its low level of impurities such as sulphur, olefins, benzene and total aromatics, and low odor.
ShellSol D60 may be classified as combustible rather than as flammable liquid.

ShellSol D60 may be classified as combustible rather than as flammable liquid.
ShellSol D60 does not contain detectable quantities of polycyclic aromatics, heavy metals or chlorinated compounds.
ShellSol D60 is a medium evaporating, combustible, high flash mineral spirit type hydrocarbon solvent.

ShellSol D60 is used in architectural coatings, wood preservatives and textile printing.
ShellSol D60 exhibits low level of impurities such as sulphur, olefins, benzene & total aromatics and low odor.
ShellSol D60 is a solvent, consisting predominantly of C10-C12 paraffins and naphthenes.
ShellSol D60 is used in the paint and varnish industry, adhesive manufacturing, pesticide manufacturing, industrial cleaning industry, personal care products industry, wax manufacturing, air fresheners and process fluid manufacturing.

ShellSol D60 can be successfully used as a fuel for lighters and Coleman and Primus camping stoves, as a thinner in oil painting
ShellSol D60 is used as a substitute for turpentine, for thinning paints and cleaning brushes.
ShellSol D60 can be used in combination with coolant when threading.
ShellSol D60 is often used to remove ink from stencils and to dilute the ink itself.

ShellSol D60 is non-corrosive to metals and non-corrosive to plastics.
After treatment, the composition completely evaporates from the surface.
This property allows ShellSol D60 to be used for processing sensitive equipment such as printed circuit boards, electrical contacts.
ShellSol D60 is a highly refined industrial petroleum solvent manufactured to European standards.

ShellSol D60 provides gentle yet effective cleaning.
ShellSol D60 has no color, with a slight aroma. The use of Shellsol replaces steam or sonication.
ShellSol D60 is obtained by distillation at a temperature of 185-215°C.
The advantages of the application are that ShellSol D60 does not spoil plastic during application and metals subjected to processing with this solvent are not subject to corrosion.

The composition is highly volatile and from this quickly and completely evaporates from surfaces.
Thanks to this property, ShellSol D60 has found its application for cleaning printed circuit boards, electrical contacts, etc.
The scope of ShellSol D60 is wide.
ShellSol D60 is used for cleaning metal, oil pipes, the production of enamels, oils, adhesives, and some types of cosmetics.
ShellSol D60 does not cause swelling of offset rubber and rollers.

ShellSol D60 is also used for the preparation of fuel mixtures, including for lighters or liquids for fireplaces or for ignition.
The use of ShellSol D60 is more associated with its use in the oil industry and the electric power industry as a mild cleaner that does not have a pronounced odor.
ShellSol D60 should be noted that some brands of Nefras are capable of replacing Shellsol D60.
ShellSol D60 is used for a variety of applications where low solvent odor is important, e.g. building coatings, wood preservatives, metal cleaning, new car depreservation, photocopier fluids, household applications (e.g. lamp oils, fire starting fluids, polishes, waxes) as well as adhesives, cosmetics, process oils and plastisols.

ShellSol D60 is a colorless solvent that is an unflavoured, refined petroleum distillate free of chlorine-containing components.
ShellSol D60 is produced in full compliance with European quality standards.
ShellSol D60 is used for cleaning and degreasing various mechanisms.
ShellSol D60 is an excellent tool for gentle but effective cleaning of various mechanisms (including clocks), degreasing various surfaces, washing electrical contacts, printed circuit boards.
ShellSol D60 can be successfully used as a fuel for lighters and tourist stoves, for diluting paints, cleaning clothes.

AREAS OF USES OF SHELLSOL D60:

As an analogue of nefras, ShellSol D60 is used in cases where increased requirements are imposed on the smell of the solvent:

-for cleaning metals;
-production of antiseptics for wood, building paints;
-re-mothballing of new cars;
-preparation of liquids for photocopiers;
-production of technological oils, plastisols, adhesives, cosmetics.
-Cleaning of metal surfaces and parts
-Production of antiseptic agents for the treatment of building paints and wood
-Reopening of new vehicles
-Creation of liquids for photocopiers
-Production of adhesive compositions, technological oils and cosmetics

Shellsol D60 provides gentle but effective cleaning and degreasing of various mechanisms, including clocks.
The use of this formulation may supplement or replace steam or sonication.
The thinner is also used in oil painting for diluting paints, cleaning brushes.
When used in printing, the composition does not cause swelling of offset rubber and rollers, therefore it is recommended for manual and automatic washes.
ShellSol D60 is also used in ignition fluids, fuel mixtures for lighters and lamps.
