Sodium lauroyl glutamate description
Mild co-surfactant based on L-glutamic acid, a naturally occuring amino acid. For hair and body care products, liquid soaps, cleansing lotions and baby care products. Free of preservatives. marked surface and interfacial activity. Above critical micelle concentration (CMC about 0.17 g/l), surface tension is reduced to values below 30 mN/m. moderate resistance to hard water. Turbidity from 10° German water hardness viscosity-reducing effect, but with sodium Laureth Sulfate and with the addition of commonly used consistency modifiers (e,g, Laureth-3), practical viscosities with acceptable sodium chloride contents are obtained. viscosity of comparable formulations is lower compared to Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, At room temperature (20-25 °C) clear to slightly hazy liquid. Below 5 °C, turbidity can increase, but is reversible

Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate is a derivative of natural glutamic acid, lauric acid (fatty acid derived from renewable plant resources) and sodium. The raw ingredient used in tubbubble is obtained from corn starch. It is a high-end cleaning ingredient. Its pH is similar to the pH of human skin. Its soft and exquisite foam deep cleans the skin.

Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate is used in hair care products as it reduces static electricity by neutralizing electrical charge on hair's surface and due to its conditioning properties it helps to improve combability and the hair becomes soft, shiny and manageable.

Sodium cocoyl glutamate is widely recognized as a versatile mild primary surfactant, which provides excellent lather in personal care formulations. Hair care products containing sodium cocoyl glutamate offer soft and silky feel and comfort. The unique cleansing and foaming power of sodium cocoyl glutamate makes it ideal for usage in skin care products such as soaps and cleansers. Currently, demand for sulfate-free formulations is high in the personal care industry. Lower loss of color in dyed hair even after repeated shampooing, less stripping of natural oils from hair, and mildness are some of the advantages sodium cocoyl glutamate possesses over other products such as sodium lauryl sulfate. Increase in concern over the usage of alkyl sulfates and alkyl ether sulfates in personal cleansers is anticipated to boost the demand for sodium cocoyl glutamate, as the latter is environment friendly.

The sodium cocoyl glutamate can be segmented based on form and application. Powder and aqueous solution are the two major forms of sodium cocoyl glutamate. Consumption of aqueous solution of sodium cocoyl glutamate is high compared to that of powder owing to the skin compatibility properties of the former. Sodium cocoyl glutamate is used in a wide range of personal care products, as it does not contain heavy silicones, harsh sulfates, and synthetic preservatives. In terms of application, the sodium cocoyl glutamate market can be segregated into hair care, skin care, and others. Key hair care applications include shampoos and conditioners. Skin care applications of sodium cocoyl glutamate can be classified into facial cleansers and soaps & shower gels. Other applications include baby care products and oral care products.

Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate is a kind of anionic surfactant of amino acid category, mild and is an ideal ingredient used in natural cosmetic products.

The sodium lauroyl glutamate type may have anionic amino acid. It is an ideal radio to be applied in personal cleaning; it is light and will be beautiful and comfortable.

Sodium lauroyl glutamate comes in the form of a pale yellow clear liquid in water. It has good cleansing and excellent skin care. Added skin tolerability. It is a biodegradable and safe radio. It does not cause sensitivity or resolution and is suitable for sensitive skin such as children.

Sodium lauroyl glutamate is also not for sale, not against, not comed water resistant.

Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate can be used as a primary surfactant in very delicate products but is usually used as a secondary surfactant:
The addition of Sodium Lauryol Glutamate to formulations containing sodium laureth sulfate or other similar anionics, favors the formation of foam and increases its creaminess.
Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate is compatible with anionic, non-ionic and amphoteric surfactants, and helps to improve the compatibility of the finished product with the skin;
Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate is a foam booster and has good emulsifying and solubilizing properties.
Uses of SLG:
Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate can be used in any type of rinse-off product for the skin of the face and body and for the hair, but it is particularly indicated in products for sensitive and delicate skin, such as those of children and the elderly and in projects for the 'Personal care.
Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate is often used in cleansing milks and cleansing lotions and in foamer cleansers.
How to use SLG:
Recommended percentage of use: up to 5% if used as auxiliary surfactant, in higher percentages if used as primary (it does not affect the viscosity of the finished product, so if it is used as a primary it is necessary to use a viscous polymer in aqueous phase).
