Many drinks such as soft drinks and packaged fruit juice will appear to be colorless after processing.
The color of the food is essential as the consumer will evaluate the food before consumption.
The bright color gives a sign of natural taste to the food.

For instance, an orange flavored drink, which looks greenish, is expected to taste like lime juice.
Thus, the color plays an important role in the consumer buying behavior.
Numerous raw foods such as fruits and vegetable have attractive colors, but when processed are likely to lose the color.
Sunset yellow FCF helps to enhance the color of the food products, thus attracting the customers.
