TEGOSOFT MM is a highly pure cosmetic wax, fully based on renewable sources. 
TEGOSOFT MM is produced by a unique, eco-efficient process fully running on renewable energy leading to an improved impact on global warming by 100% lower CO2 footprint compared to conventional chemical production. 
TEGOSOFT MM imparts body and structure to O/W emulsions, especially lotions. Leaves a pleasant, soft skin feel.

The snow-white pellets are produced by esterification of myristic acid and myristic alcohol. 
Myristic acid is found in larger amounts in babassu and coconut oil. 
Myristic alcohol is a fatty alcohol that has properties similar to cetyl alcohol or cetyl palmitate. 
Tegosoft MM melts at approx. 40 °C and is mainly used as a consistency enhancer and co-emulsifier in O/W creams and lotions. 
This consistency enhancer can be found in most online shops under the name Myristyl Myristate.

cosmetic effect:
Tegosoft MM gives emulsions a white, glossy appearance. 
TEGOSOFT MM improves the application and absorption behavior of the emulsion. 
In combination with Tegomuls 90 S it reduces the feeling of dry skin. 
Emulsions with higher fat phases feel significantly lighter, the shine is reduced, they are easily absorbed and leave the skin feeling velvety-powdery. 
The well-known wet, slippery feel of emulsions with glycerol stearate SE disappears completely. 
Body lotions are given a smooth, rich-looking yet light texture, are easy to spread and are absorbed very quickly.
