THERMOBOND 74

Chemical base: Vinyl Acetate / Acrylic Copolymer (VA/Acrylic Copolymer)

Thermobond 74 is redispersible powder for dry-mix mortars.
Thermobond 74 is a redispersible powder prepared by drying an emulsion of Vinyl Acetate/Acrylic Copolymer with PVA as the protective colloid. Thermobond 74 composition of the polymer ensures the coalescence of the redispersible polymer at low temperatures and provides good adhesion to mineral substrates.
Especially due to the elastic nature of Thermobond 74 it performs very well in transverse deformation conditions.

Thermobond 74 is redispersible powder polymers offered for insulation board adhesive are able to adhere on both mineral surfaces (wall) and hydrophobic surfaces (insulation boards).
High water resistance and flexibility are the key features of recommended powder polymers for water insulation applications.
Thermobond 74 is elastic redispersed polymer powder for insulation systems and adhesive compounds

USES and APPLICATIONS of THERMOBOND 74:
-Thermobond 74 is used to modify mixtures containing various binders.
-Due to its special physical/chemical composition, Thermobond 74 improves the adhesion, elasticity and water resistance of mortars.
-Especially due to the elastic nature of Thermobond 74 it performs very well in transverse deformation conditions.
-Recommended area of application of Thermobond 74:
*Cement base coats applied to EPS and XPS boards in SFTC 3.0 - 5.0%.
*Adhesives for EPS and XPS boards in SFTC 1.0 - 2.0%.
*Flexible tile adhesives (S1 and S2) 3.0 - 7.0%.
-Thermobond 74 can be used in formulations where good flexibility/elasticity, impact resistance and thixotropic mortar behavior are required.
