DESCRIPTION OF TIPURE R 902:

Tipure R 902 is a titanium dioxide (TiO₂) pigment designed to work well in a variety of applications by balancing pigment performance with improved productivity for manufacturers.
Tipure R 902 belongs to the inorganic field of chemistry and is represented by the molecular formula TiO2.
Tipure R 902 has many applications and is mostly used as a pigment or filler with names like titanium white, Pigment White 6 (PW6), or CI 77891.
Tipure R 902 is the most important white pigment in today’s coating industry considering its usage in almost all types of products.

Its high refractive index (and hence opacity), the highest of the white pigments, and its excellent performance properties are the main reasons for its widespread use.
More than half of the total Tipure R 902 produced is consumed by the coating industry.
Tipure R 902 used in most paints today is often coated with other substances like silica/alumina/zirconium for better exterior durability, or better hiding performance (opacity) promoted by more optimal spacing within the paint film.
Tipure R 902 is also used as a pigment and a thickener.

For sunscreen, Tipure R 902 is used, which is usually combined with ultrafine zinc oxide to create an effective product.
Tipure R 902 is a multipurpose rutile titanium dioxide pigment manufactured by the chloride process for both interior and exterior coatings applications.
Tipure R 902 is a fine dry powder with the following general properties.
Tipure R 902 is used in architectural interior semi-gloss, exterior finishes, exterior industrial finishes (except those that require the highest level of exterior durability) and powder coatings.

Tipure R 902 is a titanium dioxide pigment that offers a great balance of chalk resistance, hiding and gloss with fantastic dispersion performance for architectural interior, industrial exterior finishes, and powder coatings.
Tipure R 902 has an excellent balance of chalk resistance, hiding, and gloss with outstanding dispersion performance for a broad range of both exterior and interior applications.
Tipure R 902 is recommended for use in architectural interior semigloss and exterior finishes, exterior industrial finishes, except those that require the, highest level of exterior durability, and powder coatings.
Tipure R 902 is a multi-purpose grade pigment recommended for use when a single pigment is required to perform well in interior and exterior gloss and semi-gloss systems.
Though less resistant to weathering than other grades, Tipure R 902 provides an excellent balance of performance properties.
Tipure R 902 is a general-purpose pigment used in alkyd and latex paints for interior gloss and semi-gloss applications.

Tipure R 902 disperses easily, develops high gloss, and provides maximum hiding power in a wide range of gloss grade applications.
Tipure R 902 is a multi-purpose grade pigment recommended for use when a single pigment is required to perform well in interior and exterior gloss and semi-gloss systems.
Tipure R 902 is the most durable Tipure R 902 and is recommended for use in applications requiring exceptional exterior durability.
A rutile titanium dioxide pigment, Tipure R 902 is manufactured by the chloride process and is supplied as a fine, dry powder.

This pigment disperses easily, develops high gloss, and provides maximum hiding power in a wide range of gloss grade applications.
The most durable Ti-Pure™ pigment available and is recommended for use in applications requiring exceptional exterior durability.
A rutile titanium dioxide pigment,Tipure R 902 is manufactured by the chloride process and is supplied as a fine, dry powder.
Tipure R 902 is specifically formulated to provide outstanding chalk resistance and weatherability, excellent resistance to overbake yellowing during cure, high gloss and tint retention, very good dispersion, excellent hiding power and color acceptance.

Tipure R 902 is a key component of many coatings formulations due to its unique optical properties.
Tipure R 902 can promote superior hiding, gloss and durability performance in paint films.
However, efficiency of Tipure R 902 performance in a coating is both a function of the inherent TiO2 physical properties and of proper grade selection and dispersion in the formula.
Tipure R 902 is available to cover this range of paints.

Tipure R 902 offers effective hiding and cost efficiency for high-quality flat paints above CPVC if the customer is willing to stock multiple TiO2 products.
A range of Tipure R 902 dry and slurry grade choices exist for architectural coatings applications depending upon the need for exterior durability.
Tipure R 902 pigments with low levels of surface treatment are recommended for these relatively low pigment volume concentration (PVC) paints, below CPVC.
Tipure R 902 is the ideal selection for alkyd and latex paint applications requiring maximum gloss performance.
Tipure R 902, with its smaller mean particle size and bluer undertone, will also provide brighter, cleaner colors in tinted systems.

Tipure R 902 is recommended for general use in alkyd and latex paints for interior gloss and semigloss applications.
Industrial finishes include a variety of market subsegments such as automotive finishes, powder coatings, coil and can coatings, and maintenance paints.
Each has substantially different quality and performance requirements.
Tipure R 902 is used primarily to provide hiding or opacity, but grade selection can also have a significant effect on coating gloss, exterior durability, and film cure for acid-catalyzed coatings.

Tipure R 902 grade most appropriate for a particular application depends on the end-use coating properties it affects.
In most high-performance coatings requiring exterior durability with excellent color and gloss retention, there are few Tipure R 902 that hit this mark.
Most suppliers offer one or two pigment types in this area, such as Tipure R 902 for the most demanding exterior durability (gloss and color retention) applications, which meets many stringent requirements and can often provide improved initial gloss in combination with the desired gloss and color retention.
Automotive coatings are among the most demanding applications for TiO2 pigments.

Proper selection of pigment grades is crucial to optimize manufacturing and application processes, mechanical and chemical integrity, and aesthetics, which are required for today's automotive coating systems.
Tipure R 902 grades are available for automotive coating applications, offering finish formulators a selection of the desired combination of properties.
Tipure R 902 is ideally suited for electrodeposition primer applications.
Tipure R 902 provides easy dispersion, excellent hiding, high resistivity, and low soluble ion content that provide excellent application properties and high corrosion resistance.
Tipure R 902 combines high gloss and distinctness of image with excellent resistance to weathering for high-quality and refinish topcoats.
