glyceryl trialers and specifically Trilaurin etc. The triesters of glycerin and aliphatic acids, known as glycerine, are used as occlusive skin care agents and/or anhydrous viscosity-increasing agents in cosmetic products.
Hundreds of glyceryl trialers are used in a wide variety of cosmetic products at concentrations ranging from a few tenths to 46%.
Glyceryl trials are also known as triglycerides; Ingested triglycerides are metabolized to monoglycerides, free fatty acids, and glycerol, all of which are absorbed and further metabolized in the intestinal mucosa.
Tricapril and other glyceryl trialers have been shown to increase the penetration of drugs into the skin.
No evidence of sensitivity or photosensitivity was seen in a guinea pig maximization test.
Tricaprylin, trioctanoin, and triolein have historically been used as tools for carcinogenicity testing of other chemicals.

Trilaurine was found to inhibit the formation of neoplasms initiated by dimethylbenzanthracene (DMBA) and supported by croton oil.
It is recommended to pay attention to its use in cosmetic products, based on skin treatment with glyceryl trialers and increasing the penetration of other chemicals.
Based on available data, the following 23 glyceryl trialers are considered safe as used in cosmetics:
Trilaurin, Triarachidin, Tribehenin, Tricaprin, Tricaprylin, Trierucin, Triheptanoin, Triheptylundecanoin, Triisononanoin, Triisopalmitin, Triisostearin, Trilinolein, Trioctanoinin , Tripalmitin, Trierucin, Triheptanoin, Trisserylate Glycetyl, Trisserylate Glycetyl, Trisserylate Glycetyl, Triscetyl, Triscetyl, Triscetyl, Triscetyl, Triscetyl, Triscetylate Glyceratearol,
Some of these are not currently in use, but are considered safe if used in concentrations similar to the glyceryl trialers used as cosmetic ingredients.
