Uses
Tripropylene glycol methyl ether can be used:
As a solvent in resins, coatings, dyes for textiles, leather, and cosmetics.
As a fuel additive for minimizing the particulate matter emission.
To prepare water-mimicking non-aqueous ionic liquids for enzyme compatibility in the trans-esterification process.

Tripropylene glycol methyl ether is an ideal choice when high polymer solvency and extended system residence time are required.
Tripropylene glycol methyl ether can maintain rheological properties over time in ink applications.
Tripropylene glycol methyl ether's high boiling and flash points make it an excellent choice for use in oven cleaners, and as a tailing solvent in high-solids, solvent-based coatings.
