ULTRAMOLL VII

Adipic acid polyester

Ultramoll VII is a non-phthalate polymeric plasticizer with high migration & extraction resistance.

Ultramoll VII is a plasticizer.

Description of Ultramoll VII:
Ultramoll VII is a viscous polymeric plasticizer for a large number of polymers, e. g. polyvinyl chloride (PVC), VC copolymers, acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR), and polyurethanes (PUR).

Chemical Composition of Ultramoll VII:
Adipic acid polyester

Appearance of Ultramoll VII:
Almost colourless, viscous liquid

Typical Properties of Ultramoll VII:
Property / Nominal Value / Unit
Refractive index nD20 / approx.1.466
Color value / approx. 100 / Hazen
Viscosity at 23 °C / approx. 4500 / mPa • s
Density at 23 °C / approx. 1.11 / g/cm³
Acid value / approx. 0.5 / mg KOH/g
Dissolution temperature based on DIN 53 408 / approx. 170 / °C

Applications of Ultramoll VII:
Ultramoll VII can be used as a plasticizer in a wide variety of polymers, especially polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
Ultramoll VII was specially developed for applications where extraction and migration resistance to oils, fats, polymers and aqueous liquids are required.
Ultramoll VII is used in applications where foodstuff regulations and recommendations need to be met; further information is available on request from the address below.

Possible areas of Ultramoll VII applications:
Extrusion:
Oil and petrol-resistant film, hoses, cables and conveyor belts

Injection molding:
Boots, shoes and soles for applications requiring petrol and oil resistance.

Various:
Adhesives, sealants, printing inks, calendered and cast films.

PVC plasticized with Ultramoll VII is:
1. Resistant to extraction by oil, aliphatic hydrocarbons, and water
2. Migration-resistant in contact with other plastics and paints
3. Lightfast
4. Soft and flexible even after prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures.

Packaging of Ultramoll VII:
• Road tankers
• 1000 kg PE-containers
• metal drums

Storage conditions of Ultramoll VII:
Ultramoll VII should be kept in its tightly sealed original container in a dry place.
If stored properly, Ultramoll VII is stable for 2 years.

Handling of Ultramoll VII:
A receiving inspection is recommended.
Ultramoll VII should be stored in its tightly sealed original container in a cool, dry place.

Once opened Ultramoll VII containers should be resealed tightly after removal of product.
Consult material safety data sheet (MSDS) for additional handling information on Ultramoll VII.
