APPLICATIONS

Vulkanox BHT is an antioxidant of high efficacy.
Vulkanox BHT protects organic material from oxidation by atmospheric oxygen.
Areas of application include e.g.: elastomers, thermoplastics, latices, polyether polyols, mineral oils, fuels, adhesives, dyestuffs, printing links, aliphatic and cyclic ethers, vegetable oils and plastics.

We would like to point out that for applications such as pharma requiring
- a microbiological purity
- a quality corresponding to HACCP or GMP standards
BHT is offered in a special specification "Vulkanox BHT GMP Grade".
For these applications only Vulkanox BHT GMP Grade should be used.

Vulkanox BHT is suitable for all kinds of animal, vegetable oil products and other kinds of grain and oil foods, snack foods, food packaging materials, food grade plastic products.

Vulkanox BHT widely used in all kinds of cosmetics, all kinds of sporting goods, and replace industrial-grade antioxidants (T501) widely used in industrial and engineering plastic products, PU paste, polyether, high-grade paints and coatings, anti-corrosion materials, etc.;

Vulkanox BHT is non-polluting antioxidant stabilizers for natural rubber, butadiene rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, neoprene rubber, nitrile rubber, butyl rubber, isoprene rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, transformer oil, various types of latex products (especially white or light rubber products, latex).

Vulkanox BHT is used for rubber, plastic stabilizer, gasoline, transformer oil, turbine oil, animal and plant oil, food and other antioxidants.

Vulkanox BHT is a highly effective antioxidant which does not discolor and is non-toxic.
Furthermore, Vulkanox BHT protects many organic compounds from being oxidized by oxygen.
Vulkanox BHT is used in elastomers, latices, polyether polyols, mineral oils, propellants, adhesives, paints, printing inks, aliphatic and cyclic ethers, vegetable oils and plastics.

Applications of VULKANOX BHT include elastomers, thermoplastics, latexes, polyether polyols, mineral oils, fuels, adhesives, dyes, press links, aliphatic and cyclic ethers, vegetable oils and plastics.
Special grades are available for applications including biodiesel, food, medicine and animal feed.

Vulkanox BHT is used as an antioxidant which finds many applications in a wide variety of industries.
Moreover, Vulkanox BHT is used in ground vehicle and aviation gasolines; lubricating, turbine, and insulation oils; waxes, synthetic and natural rubbers, paints, plastics, and elastomers.
Vulkanox BHT protects these materials from oxidation during prolonged storage.
Highly purified grades are suitable for use in foods to retard oxidation of animal fats, vegetable oils, and oilsoluble vitamins.

Vulkanox BHT is also used in cosmetics and food packaging materials such as waxed paper, paper board, and polyethylene.
Also, Vulkanox BHT is important in delaying the onset of rancidity of oils and fats in animal feeds, and in preserving the essential nutrients and pigment-forming compounds of these foods.

Vulkanox BHT is used as an antioxidant for food, animal feed, petroleum products, synthetic rubbers, plastics, animal and vegetable oils, and soaps.
Additionally, Vulkanox BHT serves as an antiskinning agent in paints and inks.

FIRST AID MEASURES

-EYE CONTACT

Continue to rinse for at least 10 minutes.
No known significant effects or critical hazards.

-INHALATION

Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
If not breathing, if breathing is irregular or if respiratory arrest occurs, provide artificial respiration or oxygen by trained personnel.
It may be dangerous to the person providing aid to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
Get medical attention.

If unconscious, place in recovery position and get medical attention immediately.
Maintain an open airway.
Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie, belt or waistband.

-SKIN CONTACT

Wash contaminated skin with soap and water.
Remove contaminated clothing and shoes.

Get medical attention if symptoms occur.
Wash clothing before reuse.
Clean shoes thoroughly before reuse.

-INGESTION

Wash out mouth with water.
Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
If material has been swallowed and the exposed person is conscious, give small quantities of water to drink.

Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel.
If vomiting occurs, the head should be kept low so that vomit does not enter the lungs.
Get medical attention if adverse health effects persist or are severe.

Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
