WILFARIN DC-0810 is a light yellow colored, semi-solid material
WILFARIN DC-0810 has a characteristic fatty odor.

WILFARIN DC-0810 can be neutralized with various cations to form soluble soaps.
WILFARIN DC-0810 is useful to formulate liquid pharmaceutical and personal care products and also is used in the production of chemical intermediates/derivatives.

WILFARIN DC-0810 is useful for applications where higher quality fatty acid is specified.
WILFARIN DC-0810 is obtained by splitting and the subsequent vacuum distillation of coconut oil.

WILFARIN DC-0810 obtained has a melting point above 25 º C.
WILFARIN DC-0810 is solid at room temperature, opaque white and with a pungent smell.

Unlike other fatty acids, WILFARIN DC-0810 is characterized by the presence of caprylic acid (up to 10%).
WILFARIN DC-0810 is used among others aplications: Amines, betaines, esters, fatty alcohols, detergents, cosmetics and personal care, soaps and liquid, textile finishing, leather finishing, finishing fibers, coatings, resins and surfactants.

WILFARIN DC-0810 is derived from renewable vegetable oils.
WILFARIN DC-0810 is used in the production of plasticizers.

WILFARIN DC-0810 is obtained from hydrolysing fats and oils of animal and plant origin at a high pressure and temperature.
WILFARIN DC-0810 is then distilled, obtaining a product with a white appearance and a soapy feel.

WILFARIN DC-0810 has a melting point that goes from 25ºC for coconut to 50-55ºC for the fatty acids that come from palm and tallow.
This relatively low melting point enables them to act as emulsifiers in many formulations, or as a coating for different applications.

APPLICATIONS:

TREATMENT FOR SURFACES – WAXES
WILFARIN DC-0810 can be melted and used for surface treatment of machine parts and materials.
This prevents oxidation, caking, adhesions or absorbing moisture.
WILFARIN DC-0810 is applied in some formulations to reduce the melting point of the mixture and facilitate its processing.

WILFARIN DC-0810 is also used in combination with waxes and resins to improve the protective properties of raw materials and final products.
The “fat” part of the distilled fatty acid repels water and produces an insulating layer on the product.

SOAP INDUSTRY
Their most frequent application is for the formulation of gels, soaps and other cleaning products due to their low melting point and soapy feel.
WILFARIN DC-0810 can be saponified, sulphonated or sulphated by our customers to obtain other products used in detergents and cosmetics.

WILFARIN DC-0810 also act as an emulsifier of the mixture, providing consistency as they are relatively viscous at room temperature.
WILFARIN DC-0810 is can also modify the properties of surface tension and are used in detergents.

FORMULATION OF PASTES – EMULSIFIER
We supply distilled fatty acids for the formulation of pastes as an emulsifier.
These pastes are used for polishing, insulation or surface coating.

Tallow WILFARIN DC-0810 is will give the paste a more consistent touch due to their having a composition of C18 fatty acids (stearic, oleic and linolenic) of approximately 70%.
Palm-based fatty acids are richer in C16 fatty acids (palmitic), at around 45%.
Their melting point and viscosity is lower.
WILFARIN DC-0810 contains about 45% of C12 short chain fatty acids (lauric acid) with a melting point of 25ºC.

ADDITIVE IN PLASTIC – EXTRUDERS
To produce plastics that do not require high manufacturing temperatures, WILFARIN DC-0810 can be used as an additive.
WILFARIN DC-0810 increase fluidity and lubrication in extruders and moulds.
WILFARIN DC-0810 also produces other additives for plastic such as stearic acid and different stearates.
Dosing lubricants and additives in manufacturing processes decrease the energy cost on engines and heating resistances; this increases productivity and results in improvements in the final properties of the product.

PHYTOSANITARY PRODUCTS – REPELLENT
In some formulations WILFARIN DC-0810 is used as a repellent for rodents and other animals that can affect crops and plants.
WILFARIN DC-0810 from tallow, with a higher content of stearic acid are produced in nature by the decomposition or breakdown of animal fats, so these animals associate this with death and putrefaction and stay away.
WILFARIN DC-0810 also has an application due to its water repellent properties, preventing drops of water from adhering to the leaves of plants, burning when the sun shines.
