Carbon Black N330 is a High Abrasion Furnace (HAF) grade feature’s medium structure and medium surface area offers high resilience, easy processing, and good tensile strength properties.
Carbon Black N330 is with good reinforcing properties, which can give the rubber good strength, tear resistance, abrasion resistance and elasticity. 

The rolling loss (hysteresis loss) of the passenger tire using this product is only greater than N351 in the N300 series carbon black, which is smaller than other varieties, and has better dispersion and extrusion performance in the rubber compound.

Carbon Black N330 is produced by incomplete combustion or pyrolysis of natural gas or high aromatic hydrocarbon oil in the reactor. 
This kind of carbon black is called furnace black, and Carbon Black N330 is the largest and most diverse type of carbon black N330. 

The distinct difference between furnace blacks and groove blacks and hot cracking blacks is that the degree of melting or coalescence of particles can be adjusted according to different uses. 
Therefore, the same particle size range of furnace blacks can be divided into several derivatives with different structures.

Furnace black production is characterized by the combustion of fuel in the reactor to provide the heat required for the cracking of raw materials. 
Combustion and pyrolysis occur simultaneously. 
According to the different forms of raw materials used, the production of furnace black can be divided into gas furnace method and oil furnace method. 

The raw materials and fuels used in the gas furnace process are natural gas. 
The fuel of oil oven process can be natural gas, coke oven gas or liquid hydrocarbon. 

The raw material is high aromatic oil, such as ethylene tar and anthracene oil. 
Reactor is the core equipment in the production process of furnace black. 

Reaction furnaces with different sizes are needed to produce different kinds of blacks. 
Air and fuel are burned in the reactor. 
The raw materials are atomized and sprayed into the burning flame.

Carbon black is produced by pyrolysis at high temperature. 
Carbon black is suspended in the residual gas to form smoke. 

The flue gas is further cooled by air preheater and oil preheater after quenching. 
Finally, Carbon Black N330 is fed into bag filter. 
The separated carbon black is sent to granulator for granulation, and then dried in dryer.

Carbon black N330 is used in the tread compound, cord fabric compound, inner tire and industrial compounds. 
Carbon black N330 has good re-inforcement, resulting in good tensile properties, crack resistance, abrasion and elasticity. 

The hysteresis loss of the passenger tire filled with Carbon Black N330 is lower than the compounds with other N300 series except N351. 
The Carbon Black N330 has good dispersion and extrusion properties too, suitable for various synthetic rubbers and natural rubbers.

As a matter of fact, the Carbon Black N330 is the end product of the incomplete combustion of heavy petroleum products like:
Fcc tar,
Coal tar,
Ethylene cracking tar

By the same token, Carbon Black N330 is a form of para crystalline carbon that has high surface area to volume ratio, but lower than that of activated carbon.
