DESCRIPTION:
Laureth-8 is a polyethylene glycol ether of Lauryl Alcohol.
Laureth-8 is a surfactant and an emulsifier.
Laureth-8 helps to reduce surface tension of the substances to enable mixture of non-mixable substances.
Laureth-8 also helps with the dissolution of an ingredient in a medium in which it is not otherwise soluble.
What does LAURETH-8 do in a formulation?
• Emulsifying
• Surfactant
PRODUCTS LAURETH-8:
• foundation
• moisturizer
• facial moisturizer/treatment
The Laureth-8 is polyoxyethers of lauryl alcohol.
The number in the name indicates the average number of units of ethylene oxide in the molecule.
In cosmetics and personal care products, the Laureth-8 is used in the formulation of a variety of bath, eye, facial, hair, cleansing and sunscreen products.
Laureth-8 is also used in cuticle softeners, deodorants and moisturizing products.
