DESCRIPTION:

Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO) is a liquid surfactant.
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO) has a hydroxyl value of 171-180 mg KOH/g.
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO) is used as a foaming agent in shampoos and bath gels, and as a wetting agent in detergents, laundry pre-spotters and hard surface cleaners.
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO) are a special class of non-ionic surfactants.
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO) is manufactured by mixing ethylene oxide with fatty alcohols which have alkayl carbon atoms.

Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO)s have about 12 to 14 lauryl alcohols atoms and are commercially designated by the name LAE.
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO) surfactants have many properties that make them ideal for manufacture of detergents, soaps and shampoos.
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO)s have a straight chain Oleo chemical alcohol that makes them exhibit good wetting, dispersion and emulsification properties.
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO)s have high calcium ion tolerance, very high solubility for oily substances and are easily biodegradable.

Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO)s are also hygroscopic, hydrophilic and lipophilic in nature.
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO)s are widely used to manufacture detergents and soaps due to their solubility and wetting properties.
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO)s are supplied in different grades which determine whether liquid or solid detergents will be made.
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO)s are used to manufacture sodium Lauryl ether sulphate which is the main ingredient in many detergents and shampoos.

The process starts with heating of coconut oil mixed with sodium hydroxide to convert the oil into lauric acid (fatty acids).
The fatty acid is then hydrogenated to convert it to fatty alcohol.
Lastly, the sulfonation process converts lauryl alcohol into lauryl sulfate which is then reacted with sodium hydroxide to form sodium lauryl sulfate which is the ingredient in detergents.
In some cases lauryl sulfate is reacted with ammonia to form ammonium lauryl sulfate which is also a detergent.
The ethoxylation process enhances the wetting and degreasing agents of lauryl sulfate.

Lauryl alcohol ethoxylate is mostly preferred as the number of ethylene oxide molecules enhances its foam forming ability, solubility and detergency.
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO) is used in tiny amounts with other surfactants as a wetting agent and emulsifier for foamy toilet soaps.
Because Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO) works as a highly active substance with low salt content and water, linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid is used in the manufacture of coupling agents, farming fungus killer, household and industrial cleaners, herbicides and in emulsion polymerization.
The natural source and biodegradable nature of lauryl alcohol ethoxylates prompts their use in shampoo and liquid detergent formulations for personal care segments.
Several lauryl alcohol ethoxylate find use in personal care and cosmetics as emulsifiers in creams, cleansing agents in shampoos and liquid detergents, solubilizers for fragrances.

Lauryl alcohol ethoxylate function as a foaming agent in personal care products such as shampoos and bath gels as it reduces the surface tension in liquid.
The effective wetting property of lauryl alcohol ethoxylates finds use in household cleaning products including detergents, laundry pre-spotters and hard surface cleaners.
While in industrial settings like textile and leather processing the wetting property effectively helps, reduce surface tension.
Ethoxylated alcohol formulas such as Lauryl Alcohol are classified as surfactants, which means they reduce surface tension in a liquid, or between a liquid and a solid.
As with all types of ethoxylated alcohol, Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO) is a nonionic compound,

Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO) has no electrical charge on the hydrophilic end and generally takes the form of a thick liquid that is often sticky to the touch.
The ethoxylation process also tends to increase the water solubility of the material.
Products that typically contain Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO) include cosmetics, laundry detergents, surface cleaners and personal care products, to name a few.
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO)s are non-ionic surfactants.
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO)s generally take the form of a thick liquid.

Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO)s are mainly used in cleaning agents, detergents, home care and emulsifier production
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO)'s end applications include; detergents and industrial cleaners, dispersants, stabilizers, sanitizers, defoaming agents. agrochemical emulsifiers, metal working, textile processing, paper de-inking, drilling products intermediate anionic surfactants synthesis, dust control, adhesive, plastic industry, lube oil, cosmetic and pharmaceuticals .
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO)s are biodegradable nonionic surfactants composed of ethylene oxide adduct of Lauryl Alcohol.
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO)s vary in physical appearance, from clear or slightly hazy, colorless liquids to white solids, depending upon the level of ethoxylation.

In general, with increase in the ethylene oxide chain attached to the Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO) hydrophobe increases the HLB value (water solubility), pour point, cloud point, density, viscosity, and flash point of the ethoxylate.
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO) is a liquid surfactant.
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO)'s a foaming agent in shampoos and bath gels, as well as a wetting agent in detergents, laundry pre-spotters, and hard surface cleaners.
Lauryl Alcohol Ethoxylate (3 EO) is used as an emulsifier and surfactant in the formulation of a variety of bath, eye, facial, hair, cleansing and sunscreen products, as well as cuticle softeners, deodorants and moisturizing products, biodegradable emulsifier for mineral oils and surfactant in production.
