Pure N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) is a colorless liquid, although it is usually encountered as a colourless-to-yellow solution in water with an amine-like odor.
N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) can be synthesised from a reaction between triethylamine and a peroxide.
N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) is a colorless and transparent liquid with a boiling point of 125-130 °C and an ammonia odor. 
N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) is easily soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether, chloroform and benzene.
The product is 85wt.% solution of N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA). 
The reaction of N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) with tert-butylhydroperoxide has been studied.

Uses    
N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) has the following various uses:
1.As a vinyl monomer, used in efficient inhibitor agent of conjugate olefins.
2.In liquid or gas phase, if end gather seed is existed,it can be used as inhibitors of end gather.
3.N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA)'s a excellent end agent in process of Emulsion-polymerized styrene butadiene rubber.
4.N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA)'s a antioxidants of the unsaturated oil and resin.
5.In the environmental protection,it’s good photochemical smoke inhibitors.
6.N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA)'s used as corrosion inhibitors in the equipment of the boiler feed water and steam heat exchange.
7.N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA)'s used as antioxidant in photography screens potions. 

N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) is largely used as an oxygen scavenger in water treatment.
N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) is a volatile oxygen scavenger and reacts in a ratio of 2.8/1 DEHA/O2. 
N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) is employed in high pressure (>70 bar) boiler systems due to a very low rate of reaction at low temperatures and pressures. 
Due to its volatility, N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) acts as an oxygen scavenger throughout the entire boiler system due to steam carryover.

N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) also reacts with ferrous metals to form a passivized film of magnetite throughout the boiler system. 
The reduction of toxic heavy metals, such as hexavalent chromium to their more environmentally-friendly counterparts like trivalent chromium, is also performed using aqueous solutions containing N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA).
Health effects    
The effects of N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA), a potent free-radical scavenger, on lipid peroxidation of rat liver microsomes were investigated in vitro. 
N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) strongly inhibited ascorbate-dependent nonenzymatic microsomal lipid peroxidation. 
N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) also completely inhibited nonenzymatic lipid peroxidation of heat-denatured microsomes, indicating that inhibition is protein-independent. 
N,N-Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA) only moderately inhibited NADPH-dependent enzymatic microsomal lipid peroxidation.
